notes
We've put a few photo's of past weddings at Bentota Beach below which should start to give you an idea of what the day will be like.

Our Wedding Ceremony will take place within the grounds of the Bentota Beach Hotel (although don't think James will opt for a kilt!).

Lots of pictures shall be taken of us and our families. Giving us plenty to show you when we get home.

The package we've chosen includes a traditional singing of blessings, some Kandyan dancers and drummers as well as some firecrackers afterwards so expect a lively ceremony!

We'll also have a special guest to accompany us to the wedding - an elephant! This is a key reason for us wanting to get married in Sri Lanka (and that's why we may mention elephants on more than a few occassions on this website!).

We'll be having an informal evening meal after the ceremony and will hopefully be able to arrange a bit of music too.

We're still finding out details ourselves and should learn more about the whole day once we've met up with Kuoni. In the meantime, we hope this gives you some idea of what the day will be like and that you are looking forward to it as much as we are.

We hope that none of you will take offence when we say that the wedding ceremony is for our immediate family only i.e. parents, brothers and there partners. We shall be having a formal evening reception when we return. All of us shall wear what we wore for the ceremony, so people can still take pictures of us. We shall also have a video taken of the ceremony which shall be played when we get home at the reception.
